Great family outing on the canals! The trip along the canals from Bastille to La Villette is really fantastic! Going under the Bastille arch and through the tunnels - everything was perfect (just be sure to bundle up when it's cold to enjoy the upper deck). Our guide-crew member was great too: friendly, efficient, and gave really good explanations.

Great Canel tour, very interesting with all the locks we went through, is a lovely cruise along the St Martin Canel, but it's long walk back though, as it's only one-way ⛴ which we did not realise, they kind of dump you off in the middle of nowhere, which we weren't expecting ... so you might have to find a subway station to get back into Paris centre. Still worth doing it, if you have the extra time to do it

I took a tourist boat from Port de l'Arsenal, near Place de la Bastille, all the way to Bassin de la Villette. ⛴ A cruise to discover the real face of Paris This boat doesn't stop at any of the city's famous tourist sites, and since there are so few of them along the way, you'll come across very few tourists. That made the trip feel even more special. The boat slowly cruised along the canals of Paris. Instead of famous landmarks, I passed by ordinary apartments and people relaxing in cafés, discovering the real face of Paris that you won't find in guidebooks. Watching Parisians unwind by the water was truly picturesque. This cruise is especially recommended for those who prefer Paris's everyday atmosphere over flashy tourist attractions.

THIS is what you think of when you think of Paris! Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. Easing down the canal, artists, people, families picnicing, laughing, glowing under the trees, sparkling sunlight. Yes, you have a lot of things to cover in Paris, but if you can squeeze this in, do. You will not regret it. We have been to Paris several times, and we were just looking for something to do. This "something to do" was the best thing we have done! We (all 4 of us) loved it.

Lovely trip aboard the "Arletty," from Bastille to La Villette. Léa's commentary was really informative — we learned so much about the canal, the locks, Paris, its history and culture! I'd definitely recommend this outing, which I did with my 6-year-old son, who was thrilled to get a front-row view of the locks opening. A big thank you to Marc, the captain, and Léa, the guide (who switched effortlessly between French and English commentary while also whipping up hot drinks, even with a kettle that wasn't working!), for such a warm welcome on board! PS to Canauxrama: if Santa could bring the "Arletty" a working kettle, that'd make passengers and crew alike very happy.

We did the excursion on the Canal Saint-Martin. It's fine to do once, but nothing more. The tunnel passage gets boring fast, within five minutes at most, and after the second lock, it stops being interesting at all. The boat has clearly seen better days, the indoor seating takes some getting used to, a vending machine would be enough for onboard catering, and the commentary isn't really captivating. As I said, it's doable, but don't expect too much.

Information severely lacking, no one at the counter at the Arsenal, phone number unusable from a foreign phone. Be very careful about the details written in tiny print on the tickets. Terrible.

We went on the 2 1/2 hour cruise which was two hours too long. There was nothing memorable besides the waiting lock after lock. The company also picked up schools of kids and dropped them off and picked up more too extend the time.

Really scenic and interesting tour of Canal St. Martin and the Seine- the underground segment of the Bastille was particularly atmospheric. However, when the boat got to the Statue of Liberty at Pont de Grenelle, they paid an unusual amount of time and attention to it, moving the boat very close, stopping so people could take pictures, and playing the New York song by Alicia Keys. As a Canadian visiting France right now, I was somewhat offended by this weird tribute. Why they spent more time there than on the Tour Eiffel, or any of the other amazing French landmarks, I do not know.

A cruise along the Canal Saint-Martin and then the Seine is a unique and wonderful experience, especially since the first part includes passing through the locks and the underground stretch. Once you reach the Seine, you'll pass the Statue of Liberty, the Louvre, the Musée d'Orsay, and the Eiffel Tower, before returning to Pont Neuf. An unforgettable experience.

Really enjoyed our canal + seine tour. The boat size is much smaller than other boats we saw along the Thames which we preferred. The guide provided commentary for basically the full two hours and it's a great way to see all the sites! There's also a bar and a toilet on board so you can enjoy a glass of wine while you cruise along. Thanks to Benoit and the team!

We loved the Canal St Martin and Seine River cruise. We had taken a boat tour on the Seine before, but this was our first time on Canal St Martin. Lea was a wonderful guide, and we were very impressed with all the knowledge she shared on both French and English. We also enjoyed that the boat was decorated for the holidays! This boat tour was really interesting and such a great way to spend an afternoon! I wasn't sure if I wanted to do a river cruise in Paris, since I often prefer "off the beaten path" activities, but this one was a perfect mix of unique spots and the big must-see landmarks. It was also the perfect excuse to explore the neighborhood around Canal Saint-Martin - such a great area to wander around and hang out in! As a die-hard Amélie Poulain fan, this is where Amélie skips stones in the movie, and it was absolutely magical to see the spot in person. As for the cruise itself, they struck a great balance between sharing information and letting us relax and take in the scenery. It was very hot and sunny the day we went, so it was nice to be able to switch between the front deck for the views and the covered seating area for a bit more shade. The onboard bar was great for cold drinks to stay hydrated, and I was also glad there was a decent restroom on board. I'd definitely recommend this cruise to anyone looking for a really special way to see Paris's waterways!

Cruise with my two children - the best of both worlds, from Canal Saint-Martin to the Seine, with Léa, Pablo, and Bruno. What a welcome! What professionalism! What a lovely time! And with the Halloween theme, the decorations, the box, and the kids' activities, it was fantastic! The kids loved the storytelling and coloring, not to mention the sweets and tattoos. As for me, I really enjoyed the commentary - I discovered and learned so many things. Highly recommend!

We took the "Best of Both Worlds" cruise and had a really lovely time. It's such a nice way to cross the whole of Paris. The stormy showers didn't spoil the experience — Pablo's kindness at the bar and the humor of the young woman doing the commentary (sorry, I've forgot her name!) more than made up for it!

I have to be honest that I was mostly very un-amused by this specific tour. 1. Boat was packed to the brim, unless you arrived like 45 minutes to an hour BEFORE the tour, there was no chance you would be able to get the seat outside and Inside there were only a few aisle seats available with lacking air conditioning, some windows not properly opening (only top part usually opens for like 20CM and some seats had even those broken). Definetly not how you want to enjoy the tour on the warm day. 2. Commentary was really inadequate, you could barely understand what they were saying mostly due to comms system being pretty bad in general. I would of almost wished for no commentary at all. And it was really almost non-stop due to them doing commentary both on French and English (English part was really hard to understand) 3. it was very hectic once the tour started with people moving back and forth which was a bit disrupting. The whole St. Martin part is also a little bit lacking, the locks were cool but gets old after the first one, the 2KM tunnel in the canal wasn't necessarily the most exciting part either. I guess what I am saying is, just opt for a shorter Senne only tour on one of a thousand other companies on a boat that mostly has outdoor seating (granted the weather is good that day) and you will likely get better experience than what we had.

Arrived at exactly 3:00 PM. The captain snubbed us, which was sad for our 3 kids. All he had to do was wait 2 minutes for us to board. Avoid — absolutely no compassion shown.

"Electric" cruise on the Canal Saint-Martin on July 8, 2025 at 6:30 PM — the website states that a drink will be served on the 6:30 PM cruise, and also states that this cruise isn't narrated. Both of these turned out to be false: the cruise, which was actually very enjoyable, was (well) narrated and we learned a lot, but there was no drink on board. I mentioned it to the guide at the end, who just said he wasn't aware of it, "that he'd been asked to come," and that he had no drinks on board. On July 19, I called Canauxrama by phone; the person I spoke to didn't really understand the issue, and eventually said he'd check with the crews, without taking my contact details. I don't think I'll be kept informed. For this cruise, which I do recommend, I'd suggest calling Canauxrama beforehand to confirm exactly what to expect for this time slot, to avoid any misunderstanding or disappointment.
